It seems as though many people are surprised when they are suddenly blocked and ghosted by someone special they thought would be there by their side forever. Their response to being shocked usually results in using the maturity card to save face.

By claiming that it is childish and immature to ghost someone instead of having a conversation, they receive one last opportunity to completely disregard the many ultimatums and second, third, fourth, and hundredth chances of grace they took advantage of. But even the well runs dry after being used for so long.

A person can always love you, but it is always their right to decide if this love is worth the relationship. I should remind you that this right does not have to be exercised by sitting you down and having yet another conversation on your behavior that you were never planning on changing in the first place. Nobody owes you the same explanation you’ve heard a million times already.
