4 Key Differences In How Misandrists & Feminists Relate To The Patriarchy

Both feminism and misandry were established to challenge our misogynist society. However, feminism is a movement which seeks to collaborate with men to achieve balance and equality between the sexes. Depending on the woman, misandry can be an ideology or a lifestyle, and serves as the literal inverse of misogyny.

From the outside looking in, feminism appears to be more social and inclusive. Millions of people spanning various ages, races, tax brackets, and religious backgrounds call themselves feminists, as it is open to anyone who wants to join together in the fight for women’s rights. Not only do many famous individuals identify as feminists, but the movement is extremely popular in many parts of the world and its influence reaches across many multi-billion dollar industries.

On the other hand, misandry can be viewed as the ugly, twice removed cousin to feminism who never gets any attention. I’m not complaining about this one bit; I am glad misandry is as quiet as it’s kept. What annoys me is how some people automatically label me as a feminist, but I cannot necessarily blame them. Many people do not know what misandry is, and if they have the slightest idea they really don’t know what to make of it due to its seemingly jarring prejudice against men as a collective.
