Tonight I shared with my social media following that I accepted a man’s follow request on my private Instagram account.

I also shared that he was blocked almost as soon as he was accepted.

Truthfully I cannot say that I am surprised. I am very hesitant to accept men into my private space, whether online or in real life. Yes, I am one of the few individuals who take their social media accounts that seriously. I share a lot of my unfiltered thoughts, photos, videos, and dark humor with my followers, so I don’t want just anybody receiving this exclusive access to me.

The man of the hour is a guy I went to elementary school with. So for a short period of time we basically grew up together. I can even admit that I liked him back then. Once we became adults we reconnected on Facebook. We spoke on the phone a few times and he admitted that he liked me and reciprocated the feelings I had for him light years ago.
