There is freedom in restriction. There is beauty in making a single decision and sticking with it.

Sometimes when we have too many alternatives we don’t buckle down and get serious with the best decision that may take too long to materialize or prove to be too difficult.

Years ago I made a declaration that I will not get another job and I stuck by that. Whenever I am confronted with doubt and the usual, “What the fuck am I doing?!” bit that rears its ugly head when things don’t go my way, I always give myself the same answer:

“Well, what else will I do?” Again, I gave myself no other option but to get over my fleeting emotions and write.

Bored? Write.

Can’t sleep? Write.

Angry? Write.

Lonely? Write.

Sad? Write.

Scared of the future? Write. You create your own future, remember?

Saturation is a thing in any industry, but then again it isn’t. Because people start shit and quit all the damn time. How many writers have published even one million words before they decided to do something else? Hell, let’s shoot for 500,000 words.
