Apparently Side Chicks Are To Blame For The Fallout Of Romance?

“No one really wants to discuss the fact that side chicks quite literally cannot exist on their own.

I mean, you cannot be a side without the main meal, correct?”

After running some errands I decided to take an Uber back to my house. I waited until a black car pulled up in front of me. As soon as I stepped in I said hello to the driver. While I brought my bags inside his car I recognized a familiar tune that made me feel at ease.

It was the song “You Make Me Feel Brand New” by The Stylistics. My dad used to play this song for us as kids, as well as other 70s hits that focused on romance and celebrating life.

I made myself comfortable in the back seat and closed my eyes while the car pulled off, relaxing to the beautiful lyrics that filled the enclosed space we both shared for a few moments.

Once we arrived at my house the driver thanked me for my business. “No problem,” I responded. “By the way, you have great taste in music,” I told him as I opened the car door and stepped outside.

He laughed. “Thank you. They don’t make music like this anymore! Back in the day everyone was in love. But now side chicks ruined that,” he said confidently.
