Are Dark-Skinned Black Women Being Fetishized By White & Nonblack Men?
It is ignorant to conclude that you are merely a fetish when your rich skin tone has been reverenced amongst many cultures for a very long time.
Black women, especially dark-skinned black women, thoroughly enjoy compartmentalizing the attraction of men in ways that never, ever benefit them. They are not used to being adored, treated gently, or cherished by their own men who love chaining black women to their crumbs, underachievement, acceptance of struggle and poverty, as well as countless excuses for why they refuse to do better as boyfriends, husbands, and fathers, all while expecting gratitude in return for saving them from the “savage white man.”
Sigh.
Generally speaking, black women accept that many black men are fiends for light-skinned, biracial or multiracial black women with loosely-textured hair, with some of these men even announcing that they wouldn’t even look in the direction of a darker hued woman. Black men are even traveling to other countries to date and marry nonblack women because they believe these ladies are exotic, quiet, docile, self-sacrificing, and willing to settle for anyone who looks in their direction.
Am I missing something, or can this be an example of men fetishizing women?
