Are Women Actually Single Until They’re Married?

“Too many members of the opposite sex seek to control women by way of a relationship because they love themselves and themselves only.

And you really thought a man who wants to be exclusive with you means you’re special to him? Who the hell told you this?”

“You are single until you’re married.”

The first time I heard this statement was from a woman who belonged to a wife cult; you know, those groups of single women who are hyper-fixated on getting married and don’t believe you are a woman unless you are nurturing something. Good thing I am an alien, right?

This statement is also used by single men to ridicule single women, and to get them to rush into marriages that are not beneficial in any way.

I quickly noticed how some married ladies in these groups encouraged this type of talk. Because it makes any relationship outside of a marriage license illegitimate, plus it makes them feel superior to single women. The fact that women use men, their creations, to feel superior to anyone is wild to me. But carry on. Again, if this is what real womanhood entails I am happy to be an alien!
