Becoming & Embodying The Shrine Instead Of Creating One
Why maintain the temples in your life such as your church or your ancestral altar better than you maintain the divine temple known as you?
To become the shrine, you must literally become what and who you want to be. This statement sounds redundant and silly as hell until you actually put it into practice. For example, I’ve always loved dancing. But it wasn’t until I decided to become the dancer that the shift occurred. I became the dancer by becoming a living, breathing altar or sacrifice for my goal. This embodiment required me to overhaul my old habits and lifestyle.
Just like the altars we set up are living tools of manifestation, we are as well! Altars feature live elements such as water, food, and fire. Well, don’t our bodies and lives require elemental energy as well? We need sustenance to maintain ourselves. This is why I am very passionate about food. If you wouldn’t dare place sliced eggplant on Oshun’s altar because she prefers oranges and honey, why would you place food that doesn’t work in your favor in your body?
When you are your own deity you act like it! Why maintain the temples in your life such as your church or your ancestral altar better than you maintain the divine temple known as you?
