Black Women & Their Weird-Ass Obsession With Russell Wilson

Ladies and gentlemen, I have a confession to make.

I have had enough.

I am so sick of seeing black women ferociously obsess over Russell Wilson, the Denver Broncos quarterback and husband to singer Ciara.

Notice how I specifically said he is Ciara’s husband, not theirs! Instead of black women cultivating love in their own lives through their own platonic and romantic relationships and by way of self-love, they are living vicariously through the couple. It almost feels like these ladies are camping outside the Wilson’s home the way they emotionally latch onto the power couple to give them hope in their personal lives.

Yes, you read that properly: these grown adult women with their own families rely on Russell to be the blueprint by which men must treat them. And when men refuse to get with their program they lash out in a childish tantrum. After all, Russell is the man they’ve been waiting for their entire lives!
