Childfree Women, Please Quit Doing This

It annoys me to no end how childfree women spend so much of their precious time trying to convince strangers and loved ones alike that they are not selfish for choosing not to birth children.

You cannot control anyone and their opinions of you, no matter how hard you try. Like the legendary Serenity Prayer states, accept the things you cannot change and move on. Words can only hurt you if you allow them to.

Random folks on the internet think you’re selfish because you don’t want to risk your life to have a baby you don’t want? Family members and friends can’t stand you because you are freely exercising your autonomy, a practice many of the ladies in your circle weren’t aware of until it was too late?
