Do Boys Function As Insurance Policies For The Failed Relationships Of Their Mothers?

Maybe it’s just me, but I’ve noticed how some women are so damn thrilled to find out they’re having a boy. It brings them great joy to put their minds at ease, because they will always have a man around them at all times, whether that man is laying next to her or being raised by her.

I am going to be honest: the obsession mothers have with their male offspring, all while hating their daughters and intentionally allowing them to be harmed by men, is very strange to me.

Some mothers cannot stand their daughters, as they view them as competition for men. Every time a jealous mother sees her youthful girl child she is reminded of her aging skin and body that has lost its muscle tone from birthing her competition. She despises her, because at least her son provides her with masculine companionship and comfort should a man decide to leave her.
