Empty Promises To Ourselves Are Just As Damaging As The Ones We Are Given By Others!

There is an old saying that goes, “Money talks and bullshit walks.” This proverb is referring to the fact that talk is cheap.

We can say anything we please because our lips do not require us to account for the words that escape it. But our actions matter more than anything.

In my Corporate America days I was an account manager at a company that produced graphics and events for a variety of businesses spanning many industries. I mainly worked with many luxury fashion brands, and I managed the projects my clients handed me from start to finish; the finish being the installation of these graphics that I had to ensure was printed, cut, produced, and packed properly.

I pretty much lived in Javits Center, the infamous large convention building located in Manhattan. Many of my clients held their fashion events there and I had to spend a few weekends overseeing my installations team to ensure that everything looked perfect.

Every time my manager and I found ourselves in Javits Center putting in some overtime hours we always ran into Charles, the striking Italian merchandising manager with the beautiful piercing blue eyes.
