Entertaining Guests Is Nothing More Than Normalized Longsuffering
“You mean to tell me that your guests are able to run up your utility bills and eat up your food for an amount of time they deem acceptable, all without them contributing any money towards your expenses or helping you prepare meals to feed so many mouths?!”
You want to know what my ultimate goal is?
It is to custom build a house with one bedroom. I haven’t worked out the details yet, but I don’t care if the abode is a cozy 1,000 square foot cottage or a 3,000 square foot McMansion. But it must have a single bedroom, along with a matching single bathroom spacious enough to fit a shower and soaking tub, complete a walk-in closet, of course.
I am being dead-ass serious.
In the off chance that I decide to add more bedrooms, all rooms will be utilized for something, anything other than spare bedrooms for guests to lay their heads. That’s what hotels are for. I need my peace and quiet. Scram!
For the longest time I never understood the need for spare bedrooms.
