The same horrors that everyone thinks occurs only in single-parent homes definitely occurs in households with both parents present.

It is very popular for people to assume that only children raised in single-parent households are reckless brats whose future involves rotting in a jail cell. I can assure anyone that my cousin who willingly puts herself in danger was raised in a two-parent Christian household, the same standard our hyper-religious society teaches us is the gold standard that only rears responsible, morally-sound citizens who will contribute to society in healthy ways.

This “Women need men and children need fathers” conditioning that’s intertwined into the makeup of our country makes single mothers feel inferior and has them craving a traditional family unit that will probably make their lives a living hell.

The truth is that absentee fatherhood does not only exist in single-parent households. Many fathers are only present in the home because their wives refuse to cut ties and move on, even though that is the best option for her and the children.
