There will come a time when your long skirts, loose pants and covered arms won’t guarantee shit, and you must decide if you still want to continue on with the charade.

I truly believe slut-shaming women, especially when it is done by women, is a trauma response which is always rooted in fear. Seeing a woman unapologetically dress and behave in ways that you’ve been conditioned to believe is a one-way ticket to unwanted touching, “bad” attention, and even danger can have you berating and parenting her in hopes that she can get back in line quickly and not draw any attention from the human vultures and predators that roam our earth.

Pretty much all of us have received demands on how to dress and act around boys and men since we were girls. Interestingly enough, there were no instructions given to growing boys and grown-ass men as to how they should conduct themselves and exercise restraint around literal children for many sinister reasons; the most important one being that they were actually given consent to harm, harass, and scare us into obeying our parent’s sexist rules, rules that were most likely given to them from some male-worshipping religion they’ve adapted as their personal truth.
