I just watched a short clip from The Squeeze on YouTube, a podcast ran by actor Taylor Lautner and Taylor Dome, his wife. For those who are not familiar with the actor, he is best known for playing werewolf Jacob Black in the Twilight franchise.

In the episode the actor opened up about the dark place he had to crawl out of, which was created by way of fans who turned into critics once Taylor was no longer the buff, six-pack-having heart throb they fell in love with.

It all started after filming ended for the franchise and he landed a role for another movie that didn’t require him to be so lean and cut. A photo was taken of him at the beach where he was minding his business and enjoying himself. That candid snapshot was shared across all four corners of the internet with critics from all walks of life comparing his new body to his Twilight body, even though he felt happier and healthier from relinquishing his abs that earned him a lot of attention and adoration from fans.
