Fuck Black Love, Fuck Divestment, And Fuck Racism. More Black Women Should Travel & Live Abroad.
My wish is for more black women to dare to create fun, memorable adventures that have absolutely nothing to do with the insecurities and fears of black men.
I wasn’t paying attention to the many black women who are either traveling regularly or moving overseas, whether permanently or temporarily splitting their time between the states and their destination of choice because I didn’t think this was an option for me. But now I know that there is literally nothing stopping me from making that move if I want to. I live my own version of the coveted soft life currently, but I have options!
One of my earliest mentors packed up her life in the Deep South and moved to Kenya with her children. She has since mentioned many times that her quality of life has elevated overseas even though she was a very successful business and land owner back in America. In Africa she can afford more help to manage her household, her children, and her businesses such as housekeepers, nannies, private teachers, and more. In Africa there are plenty of opportunities to create mutually-beneficial partnerships with the US, and she is taking full advantage of them.
