Guess What? This World Is For Sale.
Money is the language of the world. If you haven’t figured that out by now, I don’t know what to tell you.
I understand that it is not easy for some citizens to see an influx of foreigners invade (ahem, enter) their home country and especially be invited to stay permanently just because they can afford to pay for the red carpet. But everything is for sale, you just have to name the right price. In addition, money is not white. It is not black. It is not red. Or yellow. It is green. Money doesn’t give a flying fuck about the race of the person holding it.
No government is loyal to race. A country’s main job is to bring in money, and if they can extend citizenship to people who can afford it to bring in said money they will. More people moving into a country and settling in permanently means more money will be spent in that country long term. More housing will be built. Less homes for rent will sit empty. More businesses will be established, and more local businesses will be supported as well.
Now can extending citizenship to non-natives backfire on the citizens that have called a country home since birth? Perhaps. But countries that are trying to increase their worldwide power must handle the problems that can arise. It’s their job. Still, the solution isn’t to shut people out and only limit them to visiting hours, or a few weeks…
