So many of us (all of us, actually) are unconsciously serving our traumas rather than serving ourselves authentically.

I appreciate all medical staff for what they do, but I also understand that they are not in the business of getting to the root cause of my problems as a woman. They are being paid to resolve my symptoms as quickly as possible and discharge me with instructions to get on birth control, which I already decided against.

No more synthetic hormones that may provide me with relief until menopause but probably come back to haunt me with a disease or health condition since the body doesn’t know what the fuck to do with years and decades of fake progesterone trying to take over the slow yet effective and intelligent process of restoration.

Surrendering to the ancient wisdom of the body which has intelligently evolved since humans existed on this planet requires lots of patience, plus a willingness to ignore the quick fixes and tune inwards to listen to the frequency of healing, which can oftentimes come with the static of pain and suffering.

This prescription may not sound like a good time, and it isn’t. But I look at it this way: pain and suffering is an unavoidable part of the human experience. Many of us are tricked into thinking that we can conveniently mask our agony and the wisdom it…
