Marriage to men who are a-okay with watching you break your back and bruise your hands for his comfort is not an upgrade in any way, shape, or form.
I came across a short clip where a coach by the name of Ashley Dalton is speaking with a young lady about her boyfriend who needs a little incentive to consider marrying her after being together for nearly four years.
“I’ve been dating my boyfriend since I was 18. In November it’s about to be four years together. And I’ve been playing wife without a ring. I cook, clean. I do everything in the house for him.
So he moved with me; we’re together now. We found a place and we’re together. So I asked him; I was like, ‘November is about to be our four years together and I have been with you all my life from 18 years old and I’m 22 right now…I think I want a ring. Like, I want a promise ring.’
This man told me I should write him a letter of why I deserve a ring. Should I write the letter?”
