I have been preaching for women to quit this surface, “just enough” healing simply to earn them a relationship. That shit isn’t based on self-love but desperation, so it never works out.
I had to surrender to the knowledge my inner feminine had in store for me: that I have been in a hyper-aroused masculine state of survival for decades, my nervous system was shot, my brain was fried, and my emotions were working against me. So it was time to recognize that yes, there is a time and a place to be in my masculine and be that cold-hearted savage bitch who will do anything to protect herself. But there is also lots of space to submit, be receptive, be vulnerable, and trust that I am safe and well taken care of, not only when it comes to my inner wisdom but also from wisdom that men have been giving me in my reality.
Because life lessons do not always have to come from pain and trauma, especially when you finally relinquish your stubbornness and the chaos that comes with it. My life has been very chaotic for a very long time because I was stubborn as a mule. I didn’t trust anything. I didn’t trust anyone. And I paid for this resistance dearly.
