Here’s How Creators Can Quit Breaking Their Own Hearts Over And Over Again
Love yourself enough to keep creating amidst the lack of support you may receive from people you have known your entire life.
One of the many painful factors in creation is isolation. It is difficult to process the reality of supporting others in their endeavors and promoting their work religiously, only for them to completely ignore you when it is time for them to return the favor.
I am aware that many people will never understand why I choose to separate myself from the nonsense of humanity as much as I can, but the reason lies in the fact that I have been let down far too many times. So I chose to remedy my hurt by going inward.
I quit putting so much energy into the creation process solely for the approval and support of others and began to do things because I wanted to do them. I no longer consider how people will receive what I am putting out there. If I want it to be seen then it will be seen! If I want it to be said it will be said. Nobody’s feelings, thoughts, and opinions are being taken into consideration because I do things for me first. It’s less emotionally taxing this way, plus I am better able to see an idea through instead of halting my creativity because I am feeling unappreciated.
