Hi Vena. I feel like my article was very clear about the outliers of many groups not being rewarded, so you did prove my point. I am also firm in my sentiments that what our society now calls “racism” and “anti-blackness,” two terms that are now based on fleeting emotions and thrown about recklessly, is in fact human behavior.
I do not participate in black group think, so everything isn’t racist to me. I personally believe that this newfound obsession with racism is indeed brainwashing. It’s also interesting how black women are the main ones policing everyone and fighting to eradicate a construct that will never really go away. If someone doesn’t like me based on the color of my skin I am truly unbothered. It means absolutely nothing to me.
My stance clearly isn’t popular because we are conditioned to believe that racism exists in every damn thing and we should be on the front lines fighting to get everyone to love and accept black people. Sorry, but that’s never going to happen.
Anyway, I love myself too much to be used as a free bullhorn for a community that refuses to own up to their own actions and take responsibility for where they are as a collective, and furthermore, feels it is their right to bully everyone into loving them when they don’t even love themselves.
Take care.
