“Hospice Care Wives” And Why I Will Never Get Married!
Why would any healthy woman choose to not only take care of her sick husband, but intentionally place herself in a financial bind just to say she’s a damn wife?
I watched a reel from a woman who titled her video Hospice Care Wives. As a black woman she detailed the many ways her friends ended up getting played by their sick and dying husbands in the name of black love, and how the wedding vow of remaining faithful in sickness and in health has turned into an intentional scam for many black ladies.
As a black woman I understood her need to speak specifically to black women rather than the general female population, although all women can stand to learn something from her words. But even I can clearly see how so many black women and other impressionable young ladies aspire to be wives without really understanding what they are getting into.
First and foremost, marriage is a business transaction. If you look up the history of marriage it was never about romance. So why many women believe their wedding day to be a celebration of love, as well the most important day of their lives, is beyond me.
