She was a Libra. She was the one that got away. And rightfully so. I would’ve made a terrible girlfriend.

It was a Friday night in Brooklyn. My friends and I were hanging out in a small lounge that we frequently attended. The DJ was playing my favorite songs in the background. Our small group was dancing the night away, all while laughing and taking shots of tequila.

All of a sudden my guy friend entered the door. I haven’t seen him in such a long time, and so I broke away from the bunch to hug him. We grabbed chairs at the bar to sit down and catch up on our lives.

Once the soca music started playing I got up to rejoin my friends and dance again. My friend went outside to get some fresh air with a few mutual friends of ours. After I was done dropping it low a woman approached me. She was about 5'5 in height, with beautiful caramel skin and short dreadlocks. She stood in front of me and grinned.
