Live in abundance and don’t deny yourself the pleasures of life.

Many ladies struggle with adapting a new lifestyle and making permanent changes that will benefit them in the long haul because most of us were taught to do everything to the extreme in order to see results quickly.

The thing is that strictness is not sustainable. This is why we end up craving the foods we tell ourselves we cannot have. Severe restriction is not meant to be maintained for the remainder of your life regardless of how much willpower you think you possess because our bodies were designed to enjoy abundance and pleasure. Not only for emotional reasons, but our health benefits as well. The body requires a variety of minerals and nutrients to stay alive, and we typically meet our nutritional needs by eating a variety of foods.

I have learned from being insane enough to repeat the same bullshit over and over again and expecting different results that I am so done with saying things like, “I am never eating (insert food here) again.” This is because I always make a liar out of myself and look foolish in the process! So I created my own mantra when it comes to food:

Be consistent. Not strict. And no ladies, the two do not correlate.
