Hyper-Religious Mammies & Demonic Warfare: Why My Mother Gave A Stranger My Address

Stop feeling bad for people! Everybody is where they are in life for a reason, including those energetically-drained church ladies who are going to die serving others.

Religion and its creation story sells us on the narrative that men are innocent, pure, Christ-like, rational beings who must never be questioned while we women are too emotional, crafty, and evil for our own good.

This is why my mother willingly gave that pastor my address. He asked her where in the borough I resided, and because she didn’t know she defied her own logic and trusted him to answer his own question by telling him where I lived.

This is also why this much older man was able to jokingly admit that he threatens women for fun without any remorse: because he’s gotten away with scaring women for literal decades! And as religion dictates men can do no wrong, so the women around him were not brave enough to deal with his shadow side and put a stop to his antics.

Demonic warfare is not what is being displayed in the movies. Warfare occurs when your inner demons are able to weaponize your own body and mind to hurt and abuse others because you refuse to face them! Unfortunately, the church is filled with demon-possessed people who aren’t even aware of their…
