“I Deserve True Love.” Do You Really?!
“True love is coming!
You deserve a slow love.
Uncomplicated. No rush. Sure.
Stable. Consistent. You deserve that love.
You deserve someone that’s sure of you, that you’re sure of.”
This quote came from an unofficial page dedicated to the law of attraction on Instagram.
Of course it did. I’m rolling my eyes right now.
I have a problem with this concept of deserving. Not that feeling worthy of your desires is a bad thing, because it isn’t.
But there is this air of entitlement that exists within people who feel like they deserve everything they set their sights on. And life has shown us time and time again that this isn’t the case most of the time. Do you really believe that experiencing true love in this lifetime is your god-given right?
There is a bridge between feeling like you’re deserving of something and actually receiving it. But nobody is really talking about how to cross that bridge in the first place.
Oh, right; they are. In the most airy-fairy of ways, at that.
“Thoughts become things.”
“What you think is what manifests.”
