I Don’t Care To Be A Good Person. And You Can’t Shame Me About It Either.

In my opinion, morals are one of the oldest forms of control. And some of the intangible rewards for living your life according to the status quo is receiving the label of being a good person, as well as being well-liked and accepted in our society.

I find that being authentic and happy in my own skin is a much better payoff than being liked. I am literally living my truth, and I must admit that it is deeply satisfying to simply be myself. After all, I am an angel or a villain depending on whom you ask. I cannot please everybody!

I am as good as I decide to be.

Nobody gets to shame me into blindly following their narratives based on the unchecked conditioning and values they held since childhood. I do not accept just anything people tell me. I think for myself, a rare art many human beings do not engage in. Some of them freely allow their parents, religion, friends, and various other communities to infiltrate their minds without so much as a mental review of what they are adapting as truth.

And I say, good for them. That’s not my modus operandi, however.
