“Hey, do you have tattoos?” my older male coworker asked me out of the blue one sunny afternoon while we were grabbing lunch.

“No. Why?” I asked curiously.

“Ugh! I don’t like women with tattoos! I can’t stand them. They look so manly. Like a small tattoo can be okay. But those large tattoos that take up their entire bodies? Why do they do that to themselves? It looks so masculine!”

“You do know that women can do whatever they want to their bodies, right?” I shot back.

“I know, Sanni. I know. But I just don’t like it.”

Ahh, men; the very gender that insists on ruining my afternoons by interrupting my peace to tell me some shit I don’t care about. Haven’t we established already that pretty much nothing that comes out of their mouths is relevant, beneficial, or worth listening to? But yet they still can’t shut the hell up!

Seriously, why even mention that you don’t like inked-up ladies? What do you expect them to do once they hear this news from your chapped lips? Run to the nearest surgeon’s office and demand they remove their many tattoos, and not at your financial expense…
