I Transformed Myself Into A Disciplined Woman By Doing This One Thing
I love myself enough to work on myself each and every day.
Why do I push myself to do shit when I really don’t care to do it? Because I write it down. I have taken the time to compile a list of rituals, or “rich-uals,” I must do each and every day. That makes it a contract. And I must honor that contract, no matter how I feel or what results manifest out of it. I have cultivated myself to be a woman of my word, so there is no wavering from me or even attempting to decide if I shouldn’t do something at all or leave it until tomorrow.
Our brains are bombarded with up to 60,000 thoughts a day. So trying to keep a solid plan or to-do list in your head is a recipe for failure, in my opinion. Your plan of attack will likely be forgotten or overpowered by more pressing things like paying bills or tending to your sick aunt.
On the other hand, we jot down the things we care most about. We condense them into words that mean something to us. None of us have the capacity to write up to 60,000 thoughts a day! But we sure as hell think that much!
Writing organizes the ideas in our brains into a solid blueprint that we can always return to whenever we feel discouraged, bored, or anxious to discover when we will actually accomplish our goals. Time is kind of…
