“Imagine having to feed your man’s ego while there’s no food in the fridge, no hot water to draw a relaxing bath, and no money for new clothes, all while creditors are sending bulk mail to your doorstep?

Imagine a man still expecting you to be enthusiastic about having sex with him while you’re worrying about when the lights will be turned off!”

I used to be friends with a woman who intentionally married into poverty. I could no longer be friends with her because I do not support women doing stupid things just to have a man. Being a poor wife makes absolutely no sense to me.

Her beau was her high school sweetheart. Out of all the men in the world she decided to settle for him. This woman was gorgeous and men were always throwing themselves at her. But she wanted to marry poor because of “love,” a concept that women refuse to be strategic with.

We kept in touch on social media and I noticed that her life was significantly different than mine. For starters, while we were the same age she was married with children. But her lifestyle had a doom and gloom theme to it. She was always complaining about money. She enjoyed taking photos of the sad, microwavable, highly processed meals on paper plates she made for her husband. And if that’s not enough, her man…
