I’m Side-Eyeing The Feminists Who Venmo Their Partners Money!

I am going to be honest: there are quite a few things feminists do that leave me shaking my head. For one, sending their male boyfriends and husbands money, or their “half” of anything is so strange to me.

I had a boyfriend who paid for everything. One time we went out to dinner and he innocently asked me to foot the bill that one time and I was in my feelings. I was pouting the entire evening and making plans to leave him. Because how dare you? When we discussed it a few days later he said I was taking advantage of how much he was in love with me. I didn’t care. Was I supposed to feel bad?! I didn’t! I don’t allow fleeting feelings of endearment to get in the way of me being served. Feelings are unreliable and temporary as hell.

My man was upset, but he never asked me to pay for anything again. And because feelings never last he got over himself quickly. Problem solved.
