I’m sorry to hear that. Many mothers secretly despise their daughters, especially if they grow up to make better decisions and live more peaceful lives than they did.
So many mothers worship their sons. They’re lenient with them while they are downright cruel to their daughters. I’ve experienced this as well.
This is why I say that the pursuit of romance almost borders on addiction for some women. They need a man, any man to fill their loneliness and so their sons are next up on the list for the task of being a woman’s everything should anything happen to her husband or boyfriend. I actually am witnessing this dynamic play out with a woman I know. She and her husband aren’t together anymore and now she’s utterly obsessed with her son. It’s gross, in my opinion.
If you want to cut her out of your life I am not equipped to say you should or shouldn’t. Weigh the pros and cons to decide if it is right for you, not just NOW when you’re angry but long-term as well. You have my full support no matter what you choose. You are not obligated to love anyone who hurts you.
