Is Harassment A Compliment, Or Are You Just A Coward When It Comes To Protecting Women?
“Apparently harassment is supposed to be a compliment, as it is a creepy yet widely approved way of men validating women and making them feel special.”
Some men see no problem in asserting their dominance through exploiting and humiliating women, however, they don’t have that same energy for other men. They are scared of confronting their own, especially when it comes to protecting women.
I can recall countless times in the club when a guy would grab me, fondle me, and sneak up behind me to “thief a wine” after I told him to back the fuck up off me. Crowds of men would just stand around and watch the drama unfold, refusing to intervene on my behalf. I’ve even asked my guy friends to step in and they would sit back, amused at my misery and fear for my safety. Of course I no longer speak or interact with these cowards.
According to these types, an attractive woman should expect to deal with thirsty, desperate fiends and even find their selfish advances flattering. Apparently harassment is supposed to be a compliment, as it is a creepy yet widely approved way of men validating women and making them feel special. This is why I raise my eyebrows whenever women brag about the insidious actions of men they’ve slept with or dated as if it’s a good thing.
