Your time, your energy, and your life force does not have to function as the stand-in mirror of your friends, family, coworkers, and even complete strangers.

Even though my immediate circle of influence, and the world at large, tells me that I need to quit being so damn passive-aggressive, I am choosing to view this aspect of myself as my superpower. Why? Because it no longer bothers me that my loved ones lack the self-awareness to examine themselves.

Energetically speaking, this lack of knowledge creates physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional distance between us, and at this point in my life I am not resistant to what or who needs to be removed so that I can elevate in life. As rapper Ludacris so eloquently said, “Move bitch! Get out the way!”

Trust me, it’s nothing personal. I have nothing against the extroverts that adopted me as their friend. But I will always choose myself over relationships that have ran its course. I’m not saving anyone or anything.

Of course I am happy that my friends and family members value my input on their lives because my input is based on being naturally observant and being in a constant state of self-reflection. But at the same time it is not in my best interest to use my nature of being attentive to be…
