Ladies, listen up and listen well:
Do not allow the stressed out, overworked mammies in your family to turn you into a temporary work horse this holiday season! Women hate when they can’t put you to work! Never mind the fact that the men in the family, from young and old, are given a free pass to be lazy, and of course ungrateful and entitled, every goddamn holiday for decades! But as a woman I am supposed to give a damn about what everyone is eating, how clean the house is, and all the minute details about a holiday I don’t care to celebrate in the first place?
Hell no!
I was planning on sleeping in this morning but my mother woke me up with a phone call. Actually, she was calling me since last night and I ignored her calls on purpose. Why? Because I knew that she was attempting to interrupt my relaxing single, childfree evening to tell me some shit I don’t care about regarding her decision to invite the majority of her large family over her house for Christmas. And as her daughter I am supposed to pitch in and help her with a decision she didn’t consult me on in the first place!
