Janelle Monáe, Shenseea, And How Female Artists Are Creating A Feminine “Age Of Pleasure” That Does Not Center Men
Our satisfaction and loyalty are now intrinsically married, and so if men need us for their pursuits they also require us to be deeply pleased.
In my opinion, I believe our media is reprogramming us because everyone is realizing that women are no longer serving men, birthing children, and rearing society and the future of this society without any pleasurable benefit. News story after news story serves to remind us that while women are living longer they are having less sex, having fewer and fewer children, becoming celibate, and “switching teams” by denouncing their heterosexual identity for many reasons. I believe there is a correlation between a longer female lifespan and the current state of womanhood, however this correlation does not benefit society so they will have a problem with it!
Truth be told, nobody really paid attention to our dissatisfaction until recently. One, women are being more vocal about it without giving a damn about any criticisms that come with speaking their truth. And two, because the sexual discontent of feminine beings are affecting men and children greatly, from sexless relationships and marriages, record low birth rates, sky-high divorce rates, and of course a breaking of ties from patriarchal…
