“My body and soul are weary. And I have resorted to beating myself up for such a natural occurrence in the human experience.

Because there’s always something to do, to learn, and to accomplish.”

Slow living.

This has been the recurring theme of my November. Along with fallen leaves, chilled temperatures, meat stews, cable-knit sweaters, and holiday preparations, the 11th month of the year brings about an air of leisure that I have craved for quite some time. October has been a month filled with chaos and soul discovery, which takes a lot of energy to manage and work through. This month is my golden opportunity to slow down, take a few deep breaths, and recover as I prepare myself for an exciting 2022. After all, I am entering into a new decade of life next year.

But still, there is this nagging woman who reminds me through harsh whispers that I should be doing more. Every time I try to rest she appears. And she sounds a little something like this:

It’s 2 PM. You’re still in bed?

You didn’t brush your teeth yet? Sheesh!

You didn’t exercise yesterday, so you need to move your body today!
