I came across this caption from a video featuring one of my favorite content creators and authors dancing and feeling herself. It was so refreshing to see another black woman loving on herself. I truly love this for her, and I implore other ladies to develop a deep and satisfying obsession for self like she has.

We are creeping into the summer months, and I must say that I am ready for it! I am more than ready to enjoy the slow evenings where the night sky doesn’t reveal itself until 9 PM, so I can gaze upon the pastel colored sunsets for just a bit longer.

I am also entering a new year of life this month, and I have been preparing for this birthday for years actually! For me, this is more than just another birthday. It is me coming into a year of life where I am well-rested, self-employed, well-nourished, disciplined, and of course well-watered, emotionally and mentally.
