Working is great. Making money is great. But work is not meant to replace living, no matter how enjoyable it is.

Hustle culture tricks us into believing that through workaholism we are putting a down payment on our futures. We are doing this for us. Through work we are putting ourselves first.

But are we?

Are we truly honoring ourselves when we would rather chase money or be of service to every damn body over taking the time to slow down and rejuvenate our spirits for a few days or weeks, even if those days or weeks are spent at home or laying on a beach in some remote country? Are we putting ourselves first when we are afraid to create new adventures until we have the success society tells us to acquire before we have earned the right to enjoy ourselves like a home, a promotion, a husband, or kids?

Seriously, there are so many ladies who are afraid of how they will be perceived by others just for taking themselves out to eat and sitting alone in a booth. Can you imagine the anxiety they must feel for even thinking about leaving the country by themselves?
