Ladies, Quit Accepting Conditional Respect From Men
We are the only gender whose clothing choices are questioned whenever something traumatic happens to us for a reason. More coverage equals more respect, apparently.
Clothing is such a hot topic for us women because we are the main gender whose attire is viewed as a barometer to measure how much we should be respected in society, which affects how well we are treated by others. Sure, everyone is judged by the clothes they wear. But women receive a separate standard that’s unique to us: those clothes must cover our bodies or else we are forced to face the consequences. Anyone with an opinion is welcome to call us out on it or worse, men are given the green light to literally harass and even abuse us back into submission.
