Ladies, Stop Cooking For Ungrateful, Judgmental Men!

Ever since I began working for myself, I started looking forward to spending every Labor Day weekend with my entire family. It is a more relaxing and welcome change to living in New York City where I could be found in a skimpy outfit shaking my “ass”ets on the Parkway for the West Indian Day Parade. I am also making up for years of lost time when I was so busy with my job that I made all sorts of excuses for why I couldn’t travel to visit my family.
Last year my parents and I took a road trip to a city my mother always wanted to visit. We planned to walk around, enjoy the sights, do a little shopping, and have dinner. But when we arrived in the downtown area we were shocked. The city looked and felt like a ghost town: not one business was open! The area looked completely deserted. But there was one exception: we noticed a group of Jehovah’s Witnesses standing around in the hot sun, waiting for locals who didn’t dare step outside their homes to receive a Watchtower.
