Seriously, what’s the point of achieving anything if you are too sick and barely alive from stress and overworking yourself to death? There is no shame in getting to the finish line well-rested, healthy, vibrant, and excited for what’s to come. So learn to fucking relax!

If you must delay a deadline so you can take a nap then do so. If you feel overwhelmed it is okay to grab a snack and watch a show to temporarily take your mind off the pressure. Sometimes I enjoy laying in bed and scrolling through my phone while streaming a show. There is no rhyme or reason to this mindless ritual except that my body doesn’t want to do jack shit sometimes! And that is a-okay!

A part of feeling safe is recognizing that I have time. It is not the end of the world if I am not “on” all the time. It is not worth me sacrificing my sleep, my pleasure, and much-needed leisure time just to say I accomplished something.

You see, pretty much every body function is efficient when we are relaxed. Eating healthy is awesome, but being relaxed enough to digest that food and actually assimilate those nutrients into your body so you can get lots of benefit out of your meals is better. Believe it or not…
