Marrying A Man For “The Right Reasons” Is Silly As All Hell!

Years ago I had a conversation with my mother which summarized for me how many women think regarding men and marriage. At the time I thought I wanted to be someone’s wife, and so I told her that I wanted to marry a man for his money.

If you must know, I do not think my stance is bad or wrong. Frankly, I personally don’t adapt the norms of good and bad as it pertains to morals and other social and religious brainwashing. I firmly believe that these completely made-up rules are meant to be challenged, questioned, and even broken.

After my mother bluntly (and correctly) stated that I would make a terrible wife, she calmly told me that if I wanted to be hitched I should only do so for the right reasons.

What the fuck does that even mean? What’s right for one woman is dead-ass wrong for me!

Let me guess: the right reasons to marry a man is all about being his life partner for eternity, with love being the centerfold of the relationship that will gracefully carry you two through the ups and downs?
