Contrary to popular belief, your body does not trap you into any situation you do not need or want. After all, you own it.

For the longest I have been asking myself if the drive to be a mother is a cruel one created by nature, because why have so many mothers willingly selected a life of suffering, poverty, homelessness, hunger, abusive baby daddies and husbands, and more all because they must have a child? Women talk a good game about never settling for less, but once they feel as if their biological clock is going to run out of batteries they feverishly scramble to get cream pied by any handsome man who was never qualified to help raise a child, and that’s if he even wanted a child to begin with.

I understand that this planet needs to be populated with human beings in order to continue running and evolving, and designing both men and women with the desire to clone themselves in the form of offspring, in addition to making the act of procreation pleasurable, contributes to earth getting what she wants.

It seems like a win-win situation: earth gets more inhabitants and parents receive feelings of elation and overinflated superiority about how they’re the only ones who get to experience unconditional love (what a joke). But, why do they usually receive these benefits under the most unfortunate of circumstances?
