Men And Their Lack Of Attention To Detail!
“I have finally concluded why women have been grocery shopping, cooking, and making the kitchen their domain since the beginning of time. It is because men as a collective do a terrible job at these basics!”
Growing up, my father actually did the majority of the grocery shopping and cooking in our household. Mum commuted to work and dad worked from home, so he not only fulfilled most of the domestic responsibilities of running a household but he taught my brother and I the ABCs of independence and adulting. A man taught us how to do laundry, wash dishes, mop and sweep floors, read ingredients labels, cook, iron, and other responsibilities.
My dad paid close attention to our chores, and he would force us to redo them if he didn’t think it was done properly. It didn’t matter if it was 1 AM on a school night; if bits of food was stuck to one dish he would wake us up to rewash it!
“You must take pride in your work,” he would always say. Those words stuck with me for decades.
Now why does this misandrist mention her upbringing? Because I was not raised by a fool. So being exposed to so many incompetent men who do not know the difference between fat-free and full-fat yogurt, compared to a man I’ve known my entire life who has bought groceries plus prepared the majority of my meals and school lunches…
