Men Are Allowed To Be Single & Childfree In Peace

“I wish women who walk, shop, eat, exercise, and stand by themselves were not conveniently used as golden opportunities for conversations about their lives to pass the time with the expectation that they should stop what they’re doing to smile and politely endure any harassment, assumptions, and demands you wouldn’t dare approach a man about.”

As much as my brother gets on my nerves I believe that fate brought us into the same family for a reason. The main reason being that we both do not want to get married or have children.

Like myself, Chris does not see why nearly everyone is losing their everlasting minds over getting hitched and starting a family. While we are equally happy that the friends we grew up with are going down this path we are well aware that our journeys are different. We are both loners and we value our autonomy greatly.

Fascinating, right? I mean, how many siblings equally could care less about any human attachments that may interfere with their freedom to do whatever they damn well please for the rest of their lives?

“I mean, I like babies. But I can’t stand kids. They’re so annoying. And those kids grow up to be teenagers,” is my brother’s default response whenever we discuss our childfree status.
