Men Regret Having Babies, And Other Silly Lies New Mothers Tell Themselves
“As quiet (or loud) as it’s kept, many partnered women are essentially alone. Their husbands are only around to reap the benefits of having a wife who is dedicated to their family.”
I came across a hot mess of a situation a new mother posed online regarding her husband, a man who functions more as a sperm donor than an actual father.
Her conclusion of her partner’s selfish actions is based on cognitive dissonance rather than a truthful, “come-to-Jesus” awakening that will force her to make some tough decisions regarding whether or not she will have more children with him, let alone stay in this marriage.
I have read my lion’s share of tearjerkers from many mothers who realized a little too late that the onus of raising little ones falls on them. And I hope that those ladies who plan to have children in the near future grasp the fact that no matter if it takes two to tango, rearing children will primarily be your responsibility. You can demand that men step up for their families in the name of equality all you want to. Those demands will continue to fall on deaf ears.
Men do not care to change anything they are benefitting from.
