Men, Why On Earth Would You Want To Die With Potential?
“It’s not really about the money or the women you think you can get with money. It’s about you versus you.”
Tonight my friend told me about a Facebook thread she commented on, where a man asked his mainly-female audience if they preferred a man who had potential or a man who was already learned and accomplished.
Many of the ladies commented that they would prefer the former rather than the latter. And of course the original poster of the question was satisfied with this overwhelming response which coincided with his viewpoints.
My girlfriend, however, disrupted the reassurance this man was seeking to receive from female strangers online by telling him that because one’s money and success is tied to what they know, it is strange that an adult man would be comfortable with potential at his big age. He quickly shot back a response, claiming that she was being negative and mean.
I had to agree with her though.
I’ve noticed how quite a few men, especially those who belong to the manosphere and other male-centered communities, believe that a woman should fall in love with the untapped and unrecognized potential in a man who expects her to respect him.
